You may log on to the BBS one of two ways: the single key [L]ogin command,
which prompts you for your password, or by using the extended command
.L PASSWORD .L(ogin) PASSWORD
Both methods are identical. If you don't log in, you can't [E]nter any
messages except to the SysOp in the Mail> room. The reason for this is to
avoid the SysOp having to answer anonymous requests for help from new users.
(If you aren't logged in, the BBS doesn't know who you are, and can't tell the
SysOp who sent the mail, if you're so frustrated that you forgot to do so.)
To log off the BBS, you again have the option of a single-key or extended
command. [T]erminate will ask if you're sure that you want to leave. The other
options are:
.TS .T(erminate) S(tay), Which logs you off the system but doesn't hang
up the phone.
.TQ .T(erminate) Q(uit-also) which logs you out and hangs up the phone.
.TP .T(erminate) P(unt) logs you off and pretends as if you had never
logged on in the first place.
